Pavers with standard paving slabs can be washed with high-pressure washing equipment. After such a procedure, part of the material for the seams of the pads can be washed out, therefore, after the washing is completed, it is necessary to sweep the fillings into the gaps. It is advisable to wash it no more than once a year or even two and do it best after winter, in the spring, when the pavement is already not in the first season. Newly placed pads should be cleaned by hand for the first year.

If there are grease, oil or fuel stains on the pavement coating, only special chemical agents designed for concrete bases are used to remove them.

It happens that white spots appear on the stacked pads, which are more pronounced on a dark surface. Most often they occur after rain as water evaporates. Over time, such spots should decrease, and eventually not remain at all. However, they still have such an annoying appearance, they can be cleaned with sharply diluted acetic acid.

It is possible to remove grass and moss from the pavement using herbicides, only after examining the composition and recommendations beforehand. There is another reliable method of destruction when destroying small vegetation - sprinkling lime on the pads.

A very important aspect to protect the pads from chipping is that the gaps between the pads must be completely filled. Fine sand, fine shards, crushed granite and special binders can be used to fill the seams. The main thing is that the gaps are always filled, then there will be no opportunity for grass to grow in them, garbage will not accumulate.

Various mixtures are sometimes used to melt the ice that has settled in winter. In this case, it is very important to pay attention to the composition. It can not contain sulfates, which can lead to corrosion of concrete. Only chlorides can be used. It is not advisable to chop ice with a sharp or sharp tool. From rough mechanical impact, marks may remain on the surface and crack the pads. The safest way to remove the formed ice is to sprinkle with table salt. It can be used alone or mixed with sand. This is perhaps the most reliable, safest and cheapest way to remove ice.
