Pelesa Square next to the railway station will be renovated in Vilnius

“The project provides for the renovation of footpaths and stairs, the installation of two new playgrounds for children of all ages, an observation deck, sports grounds, a recreation area and a rain garden. An automatic public toilet will be built on the square, benches, drinking water column, lighting and video surveillance cameras will be installed,” said Linas Urba, project manager of Vilnius Development Company.

Pelesa Square in Rasai district is 600 m away from the railway station of the capital. UAB Gerbūvio projektai won the public tender to renew this space announced by Vilnius Development Company.

The renovation works of the square will be carried out according to the project prepared by UAB ID Vilnius. The contract work is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2025 and be completed by 2026. III quarter. The value of the contract works is almost 1.5 million euros including value added tax (VAT).

The project is partially funded by Vilnius City Municipality, the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
