St. Installation of Florijon Square, Vilnius

UAB “Gerbūvio projektai” carries out a general contract for the installation of a new public space on the theme of firefighters in Vilnius New Town — St. Florion Squarelocated at the intersection of Martha and Shvitrigaila Streets. The square is named after the patron saint of firefighters St. On behalf of Florian, and his concept was inspired by the Fire and Rescue Department in the neighborhood.

The work currently underway includes:

• Installation of walking paths and small architectural elements
• Children's playgrounds with design solutions reminiscent of firefighting equipment
• Sports areas, recreation and passive recreation areas
• Educational objects (smoke detectors, fire truck pump layout, fire extinguishers, hydrants, number 112)
• Information booths with text information, Braille and QR codes

This public space will be not only for recreation and entertainment, but also educational — unique in all of Lithuania. The area is intensively landscaped, forming the terrain and clearly delimiting the zones between recreation, sports and play spaces. Part of Martha Street from Shvitrigaila to T. Shevchenko streets.

As a result of the project, this sparsely used area of 0.5 ha will turn into a modern, distinctive and attractive point of attraction for the community. The value of the contract works is about 1.1 million. Eur with VAT, and their completion is planned by the summer of 2026. The project is partially funded by Vilnius City Municipality and the European Union.
